Savage on Sept. 1 celebrated the grand opening of a new terminal at UP’s Pocatello, Idaho, rail yard for transport of containerized hay and other agricultural commodities to Northwest Seaport Alliance ports in Washington state.

Intermodal Briefs: Sasser, Savage/UP

Sasser Family Companies (Sasser) is acquiring Singapore-based global container lessor Falcon Lease Holdings Pte. Ltd. and its group of companies. In addition, Savage has opened Idaho’s first intermodal rail terminal.

Salvage will own and operate the Mossville (La.) railport, which will be built on property leased from KCS. It is slated to start handling commodities from Lake Charles-area refineries, chemical plants and other businesses by January 2022.

Savage, KCS to Launch Louisiana Railport

Savage, a Utah-based global infrastructure and supply chain services company, is teaming with Kansas City Southern (KCS) to build a multi-commodity railport for transloading and storage in Mossville, La.

Supply Side: PS Technology, Savage, Siemens

PS Technology (PST) has designed and supplied 3D simulation training to Savage for its rail yard and industrial switching operations; Savage has established a team to work on renewable energy assets and services projects; and Siemens Mobility has acquired Software as a Service (SaaS) provider Padam Mobility.

Savage Debuts Tooele Railport, Utah

Utah-based global transportation and logistics company Savage has opened Savage Railport in Tooele, Utah, described as “a multi-commodity transload facility strategically located to serve Salt Lake City and surrounding markets.”

Savage to design, build and operate GCGV facility

Savage revealed that it has been chosen by ExxonMobil and SABIC to design, build and operate a rail facility that will serve their recently announced joint venture, Gulf Coast Growth Ventures (GCGV), to be constructed in San Patricio County, Texas.
